The house of Moses and Elizabeth Manchester and family, located just north of the north end of Ship Harbor, was accessed from Bass Harbor prior to the construction of the Seawall Road

The location of the house, now a cellar hole, can be accessed by walking north (carefully!) from Route 102A across the road from the Ship Harbor parking area.
