Below is a working checklist of Mount Desert Island's odonates (damselflies and dragonflies). More work has to be done to reconcile data from the Maine Damselfly and Dragonfly Survey (MDDS) with those of Procter (1946 [see below for full citation]). For example, Procter said that Didymops transversa was "common on all parts of the island", yet it was not reported even once by MDDS.
