   1753: Linnaeus described this species as Potentilla monspeliensis in Species Plantarum, 1st ed., p. 499 of Ray Society 1957 facsimile.
   Today: The current name for this species is Potentilla norvegica L.

Potentilla foliis ternatis, caule ramoso erecto, pedunculis supra genicula enatis.
