   today: The current name for this species is Tradescantia zanonia (L.) Sw.


original Latin diagnosis
Commelina corollis aequalibus, pedunculis incrassatis, foliis lineari-lanceolatis.

   Note: this final adjective was misspelled as linearli-lanceolatis in Species Plantarum.
