During the history of the town of Jonesboro, there has been only one post office.

Briefly, the history of this one is as follows:
1. Chandler’s River post office was established on 29 July 1795 and was renamed on 1 October 1800 as Chandlersville Post office. Chandlersville post office was renamed on 1 August 1809 as Jonesborough post office, which is still operating (as Jonesboro post office).
