During the history of the town of New Limerick, there have been two post offices.

Briefly, the history of these two is as follows:
1. New Limerick post office opened on 23 March 1837, closed on 18 February 1839, re-opened on 28 January 1841, closed on 17 February 1842, re-opened on 19 January 1958, closed on 7 September 1865, re-opened on 28 January 1868, closed on 4 January 1878, and re-opened on 7 January 1879. On 26 October 1986, it became New Limerick CPO Houlton and is still operating.
2. Titcomb post office opened on 6 April 1883 and closed on 28 February 1902.

1948 September 9:
   The circular postmark is 32–33 mm in diameter. The outside vertical height of the four horizontal bars to the right of the circle is approximately 18 mm.

1951 October 4:
   Paul E. Cunliffe appointed Postmaster.

1953 April 23:
   George A. Seward appointed Acting Postmaster.

1977 July 15:
   Hoep S. Anderson appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1978 January 28:
   George S. Smith appointed Postmaster.

1986 February 25:
   Kimberly A. Wright appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1986 October 24:
   Emergency closure of New Limerick post office per order from postal service employee Donald C. Thompson.

1986 October 25:
   New Limerick post office re-opened in the same location and was administered by the Postmaster of the Houlton post office.
