During the history of the town of Frenchville, there have been two post offices.

Briefly, the history of these two is as follows:
1. Dickeyville post office was established on 6 July 1869, and was renamed on 24 September 1885 as Frenchville post office, which is still operating.
2. Upper Frenchville post office was established on 8 April 1878 and closed on 28 February 1997.

   Edith Ouellette appointed Postmaster.

1914 October 28:
   John C. Michaux appointed Postmaster.

1937 October 18:
   The circular postmark is approximately 33 mm in diameter.
      

1941 November 13:
   Egline Plourd appointed Acting Postmaster.

1944 August 25:
   Egline Plourd appointed Postmaster.

1951 November 30:
   Florence H. Michaud appointed Acting Postmaster.

1954 August 5:
   Hercules B. Roy appointed Postmaster.

1967 August 31:
   The circular postmark is 32–33 mm in diameter. The four horizontal bars to the right of the circle are approximately 6 mm apart on center.

   Rose LaPointe appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1983 July 23:
   Manzer Belanger Jr. appointed Postmaster.

1987 February 2:
   Rita A. Martin appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1987 May 23

1994 December 20:
   Robert Rossignol appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1995 April 17:
   Arthur L. Vick appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1995 August 1:
   Greg Paul appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1995 October 20:
   Joella C. Daigle appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1996 April 11:
   Henry Gomeault appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1996 June 13:
   June Collin appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2000 November 4:
   Wendy M. (Belanger) Stevens appointed Postmaster.

2014 September 20:
   Frenchville post office was convertd to a Level 6 (6-hour) Remotely Managed Post Office under the direction of the Postmaster of the Madawaska post office.


Upper renchville


1878 April 8:

1997 February 28:
   Upper Frenchville post office closed.
