During the history of the city of Caribou, there have been five post offices.

Briefly, the history of these five is as follows:
1. Caribou (1) post office was established on 9 May 1848, was renamed as Lyndon post office on 15 January 1852, and closed on 10 November 1900.
2. Caribou (2) post office was established on 14 June 1860 and is still in operation.
3. East Caribou post office was established on 14 June 1860 and is still in operation.
4. East Lyndon post office operated from 26 January 1874 until 11 December 1886.
5. Grimes post office operated from 17 November 1898 until 30 June 1915.

1984 June 8:
   Andrew W. Pendexter appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1984 October 27:
   Everett L. Cole appointed Postmaster.

1994 March 30:
   Rickey Corey appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1994 August 6:
   Randy P. Michaud appointed Postmaster.

1998 March 10:
   Theodore L. Bell appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1999 August 28:
   Theodore L. Bell appointed Postmaster.

2007 February 20:
   Lisa L. Cantafio appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2007 December 8:
   Lisa L. Cantafio appointed Postmaster.

2018 March 28:
   Joshua Wortman appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2018 June 12:
   Donald Cyr appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2018 August 14:
   Shawn R. Rogers appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2019 March 16:
   Shawn R. Rogers appointed Postmaster.

today:
   Caribou (2) post office is still in operation.


East Lyndon


1874 January 26:
