During the history of the town of Ashland, there have been two post offices.

Briefly, the history of these two is as follows:
1. Aroostook post office was established on 1 July 1843 and was renamed on 15 June 1868 as Ashland post office, which is still operating.
2. Sheridan post office was established on 9 November 1901 and is still operating.

   The circular postmark is approximately 28 mm in diameter.

   Randy P. Michaud appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1989 September 11:
   Richard Hunt appointed Officer-in-Charge.

1989 October 21:
   William T. Hay appointed Postmaster.

2006 May 3:
   Ruthine A. Lilley appointed Officer-in-Charge.

2006 October 14:
   Ruthine A. Lilley appointed Postmaster.

2015 January 29:
   Stuart G. Turner appointed Office-in-Charge.

2015 April 18:
   Stuart G. Turner appointed Postmaster.

   Ashland post office is still in operation.
