      then westerly in a direct line to the southeast corner of a piece of land owned by Lemuel Cole, which corner is about 10 rods from the county road;
      then northerly and bounded by said Cole’s land to the north line of said lot;
      then easterly and bounded by the north line of said lot to the bound first mentioned.
   Note: “said land is situated on the easterly side of the county road leading from Canton Mills to Peru, with the right-of-way across Cole’s land as reserved by Willard Carver to the road.”

      All that part of lot numbered 21 in the fifth [see note 1 below] range of lots on the west side of the Androscoggin River which was conveyed to me buy James Carver by 86:326, excepting so much as I [Ivory Carver] have deeded to E. G. Harlow Esq. and Otis Hayford Esq. and also excepting the old dwelling house now standing on the premises which is to be removed within three years.
   Notes:
      1. The record of this deed inadvertently reads “sixth” range. However the previous deed (i.e., 86:326) and the subsequent deed (i.e., 142:350) both read “fifth” range.
      2. Also conveyed via this deed was 25 acres of the Richardson lot.
