      then up said river until it comes to the east line of David Austin’s land;
      then north in the original west line of said lot by said Austin’s land to the first mentioned bound.

      Beginning at a stake and stones standing in the north line of said lot [3 in Range 11], 7 rods and 7 links west of the mouth of the meadow brook, so-called, that crosses said line and enters into the Androscoggin River opposite to an island below the Peterson falls, so-called, in said river;
      then S 10° E 111 rods to a bunch of black alders, marked, standing by the side of said river and above the head of said falls;
      then down said river to the north line of the aforesaid lot;
      then west in said north line to the bound first mentioned.

      Beginning at a stake and stones standing on the bank of the [Androscoggin] River near the upper end [of] the intervale on the southerly side of said farm, and at a place where a source running S 11° E shall strike the easterly [side] of Ebenezer Conant’s farm on the southerly side of the river;
      then N 1.5° [E?] about 200 rods, more or less, to the north line of said lot, adjoining Ephraim Child’s land;
      then west in said north line to the northwest corner of said lot;
      then south by the Austin farm, so-called, to the river;
      then down said river to the bound first mentioned.
