Welcome to the Trenton Cemeteries website. The purpose of this site is to provide basic cemetery information and pertinent notes so individual researchers will not have to “reinvent the wheel” by tracking down the same material that others have already found.

All information, especially source material, for inclusion in this web page should be sent to info@vfthomas.com or mailed to “Trenton Cemeteries c/o V. F. Thomas Co.; 183 Pleasant St., Apt. 1; Canton, ME  04221”.

A little work by each of us will save a lot of work for all of us.

Below is an alphabetical list of Trenton's cemeteries based on those reported in the 2004 book A Transcription of Trenton's Cemeteries by Patricia Leland and Robert Leland. The authors noted that as of 2004 "there are burial sites that we have yet to find. Individuals have given us approximate locations of this sites yet to date we have not been able to locate the stones." A 2014 newspaper article reports on the discovery of a stone in just such a burial site, and a rather large one at that. In the book's introduction, the authors report that "[o]ften the name we have given to a cemetery is based solely on the surname found most frequent[ly] in that cemetery." Click on any name and you will be taken to an entry for that cemetery.
