There is some inconsistency between gravestone data and census records.

The Otis B. Leland of the 1850 census would be approximately 10 years old in 1860. Also, there is an Otis B. Leland who is buried in Hadley Point Cemetery (Bar Harbor, Maine), who was born in 1849, consistent with the 1850 census record. So, it is unclear if the Otis L. Leland of the 1860 census is Otis B. of 1850 but with an incorrect age.

Also, it appears that Arvilla (age 4 in 1860, and 15 in 1870) married a William H. Young by the time of the 1880 census. However, there is an Arvilla Young, wife of William H. Young, in Hadley Point Cemetery who was born in 1859. It is possible that the gravestone birthdate is in error, given that Arvilla's middle initial is given as "O." on one stone and "T." on another.
