Land Ownership
Eleazar Higgins purchased from Bartholomy DeGregoire and wife Maria Theresa DeGregoire 100 acres in Eden [now Bar Harbor] on 28 March 1792 (Hancock County Registry of Deeds book 1, pages 430–431). Eleazar and wife Sarah sold the same parcel to Isaac Higgins on 6 August 1825 (Hancock County Registry of Deeds book 53, page 291). This parcel is shorefront (on Thomas Bay) property located a bit west of the outlet of Northeast Creek.
