Death Data

Note about the life of Clara C. (Richardson) Carter, from Bar Harbor Record, Wednesday, 13 October 1897, page 4, column 3:

A gravestone for Harry O. Carter in the Seal Harbor Cemetery says that he is buried "at Beech Hill". Further, a brief note in the Beech Hill news of the Wednesday, 4 July 1923 issue (page 6, column 3) of The Bar Harbor Times (see below) says that he was brought "here" (i.e., Beech Hill) for burial "in the family lot". Given that his parents and two of his brothers are buried in the Carter Cemetery (off Beech Hill Road), it is likely that he is also buried there although no stone has been found for him in that cemetery.
