   Town: Bar Harbor
   Grantors: Bartholomy DeGregoire and Maria Theresa DeGregoire
   Grantee: Thomas Wasgatt Sr. [under the name Thomas Wasgatt (i.e., no “Sr.”)]
   Description: 100 acres (exclusive of roads)
      Beginning at a stump that stands on the east side of a small brook, which stump is the bounds between the said Thomas Wasgatt Sr. and Solomon Higgins;
      thence running first S 45° W 389 rods to a spruce tree;
      then N 45° [W?] 40 rods to a hemlock tree;
      then N 45° E to the shore;
      then N following the shore to the first mentioned bounds.
   Grantors obtained this parcel via: grant from the General Court of Massachusetts
   Grantee disposed of the northwest longitudinal half (= 50 acres) of this parcel via 5:215

   Town: Bar Harbor
   Grantors: Thomas Wasgatt Sr. [under the name Thomas Wasgatt (i.e., no “Sr.”)]
   Grantee: Moses Wasgatt
   Description: 50 acres, the northwest longitudinal half of the 100 acres purchased from the DeGregoires via 1:368–369
      Beginning at the shore at William [Wasgatt]’s northeasterly corner bound;
      [then] running southwesterly in said William [Wasgatt]’s range to the head of my [Thomas Wasgatt’s] lot;
      then extending southeasterly an equal distance at the shore and the head so as to include the said 50 acres.
   Note: also included were “one-half the dwelling house and half the barn”; Moses used this parcel as collateral for a loan from Thomas Wasgatt (6:395).
