Beginning at a fir tree, the southeast corner bound of lot #20;
running S 37° E 200 rods to a stake and stones, 3 rods southerly of the old Eden road;
then N 53° E 80 rods [see note 1 below] to a hackmatack tree;
then S 64° E [see note 2 below] 47 rods to a stake and stones on the western sideline of lot #41, occupied by Smith Hopkins;
then by said lot #41 N 26° E 136 rods to the northwest corner bound of said lot #41;
then by Thompson lot [see note 3 below] N 78° W 86.5 rods to a birch tree, the southwest corner bound of said Thompson lot;
then N 11° E 173 rods;
then S 53° W 295 rods to the bound first mentioned.
Notes:
1. Given the first two distances of 200 rods and 80 rods, the map is not to scale.
2. This direction should be N 64° W.
3. This direction ignores the apparent difference between the northwest corner of lot #41 and the southeast corner of the Thompson lot.
