Location. East of Dix Point Road. UTM: 19T 0547943, 4900974; Lat./Long.: N 44°15′37.5″ x W 68°23′57.8

Directions. From the intersection of Routes 3 and 102/198 at the north end of Mount Desert Island, go straight ahead (south) onto Routes 102/198. In approximately 5.2 miles (and at the south end of the village of Somesville), turn right onto Pretty Marsh Road (Route 102). Travel on Route 102 about 9.0–9.1 miles and in a sharp curve to the left, turn right onto Dix Point Road. In approximately 0.3–0.4 miles on the left, just over the crest of a hill, is a drive that leads by the entrance (on the left) to the cemetery.

History. This cemetery is on land that was part of lot #20, a 58-acre parcel, on the 1808 Salem Towne Jr. map.

Notes. This cemetery is not enclosed and no boundary markers are evident, although there appears to have been a recent (1999?) survey of an abutting parcel. The grass is mowed and trimmed. Most of the old stones are leaning or laying on the ground.

2Stones of both Capt. James TINKER and his wife, Harriet M., are broken and have been repaired. The repair of his stone was unsuccessful, and its top leans (2000) against a tree near the grave.
3If there is any further information on this stone, it is below ground.
