Directions. From the intersection of Routes 3 and 102/198 at the north end of Mount Desert Island, go straight ahead (south) onto Routes 102/198. In approximately 5.2 miles (and at the south end of the village of Somesville), turn right onto Pretty Marsh Road (Route 102). Travel on Route 102 about 7.2–7.3 miles, and turn right onto the south end of Cape Road. Follow Cape Road approximately 1.1–1.2 miles to Bar Road on the left (the second road/drive on the left after the water). Turn left onto this road, and watch on the left for a field containing a mowed path leading to this cemetery as well as to James Reed Cemetery and Benjamin Norwood Cemetery. In about 50 feet, the path divides. Follow the left branch down the hill, and watch on the left for the granite posts near a stone wall.

History.

Notes. Seven granite posts mark the boundary of the burial area. The grass is mowed.

Names and dates on gravestones and other markers. (complete as of 9 April 2008)
There are no stones giving the name(s) of the deceased, only two markers with United States flags—one with “Post 105 G. A. R.” and the other “Veteran 61–65” with “O F L” clockwise around the margin [Civil War].
