Directions. From the intersection of Routes 3 and 102/198 at the north end of Mount Desert Island, go straight ahead (south) onto Routes 102/198. In approximately 5.2 miles (and at the south end of the village of Somesville), turn right onto Pretty Marsh Road (Route 102). Travel on Route 102 about 7.9–8.0 miles, and turn right onto a private driveway. Inquire at the house for permission to visit the cemetery and directions to it.

History. The cemetery is on land that was part of lot #19, a 108-acre parcel, according to the 1808 Salem Towne Jr. map.

Notes. As of 23 October 1999, this cemetery was in very poor condition. Some stones were broken or laying on the ground, covered with moss and/or almost buried in duff, and a large tree fallen into the cemetery. There were remnants of barbed and non-barbed wire along part of three sides. Subsequently (before 5 October 2008) much cleaning (cutting trees and brush, raking, and propping up stones) was done.
