1910 December 1: organized as Brewer Ice Company, a Maine corporation
“The purposes of said corporation are to carry on the ice business in the town of Eden, Hancock County, State of Maine, and to buy, cut, manufacture and sell ice, either natural or artificial, and to buy, anage, own and sell real and personal property necessary to carry on said business, and to carry on said business in all of its branches and to do all things necessary therefor; and to carry on the stone businessin said town of Eden, and to buy, manage and own a rock crusher for crushing rocks, and all machines an tools necessary to carry on said business, and to buy and sell stone and all personal property necessary to carry on said business, and horses wagons and harnesses for said purpose, and to employ men necessary to carry on said business and to make contracts for building of roads of said stone, and to build roads either of natural dirt or of said stone; and to do all things necessary to carry on the ice business, stone business and contract business so far as it pertains to road building and to do a general landscape business, and to do all things and own all real and personal property necessary therefor.”
The amount of capital stock (all common stock, no preferred) was $50,000. The following individuals each purchased 500 of the original shares:

The five original directors of the corporation were: Chester S. Brewer (President), Everett K. Brewer, Frank L. Brewer (Treasurer), Albion S. Brewer, and Archie Brewer; and the clerk was Fred J. Brewer.
